The Importance of ICT Integration in Education System

 It's been a long time since I made  an update about the happenings regarding my school, and as far as I remember we've talked about ICT and its use towards teaching and learning in my last blog. To further discuss to you, let me explain the Importance of ICT Integration in Education System. But first, we need to define what ICT Integration is.

According to Florence Kanorio Kisirkoi (2015), ICT Integration is described as the means of using any ICT tool such as Internet, e-learning technologies and CD ROMs to assist teaching and learning. Use of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) in education has been reported to result in many learning benefits though it is quite demanding.

Rosnaini Mahmud and Mohd Arif (2008) define ICT integration as the process of determining where and how technology fits in the teaching and learning scenario. It is able for everyone can enter the websites from everywhere at any time to use the free information by the internet.

 

The Importance of ICT Integration in Education System

 These days, the rapid growth of ICT has become one of the most important topics discussed by many students and teachers. This is due to the capability of ICT in providing easier learning for the students while easier teaching for the teachers. In this digital era, students are expected to learn or study by him or herself with the use of ICT, students can even learn many subjects that are not taught in the school by themselves while teachers can record themselves while teaching and gives the record to the students so that they can learn by themselves. 

ICT enable the transformation of teaching and learning processes at many levels. Also, it can be a tool in education for example while submitting or making assignments, documentation, and many more. Added to this, it can also be used as a medium for teaching and learning in which the teachers can teach while the students can learn. Furthermore, it saves time without the need of the students to go to school, by using the help of ICT students can learn from everywhere while the teachers can also teach the students from everywhere.

 

To sum it up, ICT really integrates the process of teaching and learning. Education is possible anytime, anywhere and in any form in a constant way.
